With Spring in the air, even though there are still traces of last weeks snow on the ground I am feeling a bit of spring fever, which is motivating me to get back to blogging. The plan is to do a few posts a week consisting of recipe sharing, poetry writing, art journalling and photography.
I have been away from blogging for almost a year and I needed that time to just be. Here is a poem I recently wrote which says better than I can now about the thaw I was feeling.
THAW
for weeks
pen
lay frozen
far from
page
emptiness
seemed
vast,eternal
then
a flickr starts
like match
to candle
light grows
brighter
pen flows
on paper blue
rhythm of hand
awakens soul
the thaw
begins
again
pen
lay frozen
far from
page
emptiness
seemed
vast,eternal
then
a flickr starts
like match
to candle
light grows
brighter
pen flows
on paper blue
rhythm of hand
awakens soul
the thaw
begins
again
Thanks for stopping by and may this day find you and yours well.
Namaste,
Karen

Lovely, glad you are back to blogging. I've been light on "words" for awhile. I need to get going. Thank you for inspiring me. I love your poem.
i see you Karen
So good to have you back ... your voice and images deserve to be "framed" in a more stable place so we can dip in as often as we need to! xo
nice to read your words karen...
Karen, thanks for sharing your visual and verbal images. They are Lovely, like you!

this is beautiful Karen- sometimes I feel I don't have a lot to share- sometimes I think about walking away from it all- I love that you honored your feelings, xo
