Tuesday's Tune:Om Mani Padme Hum

Today's song and picture are here to remind myself to give the same compassion and love to self that I give to others.  To have faith and courage in myself and my path.

I  keep repeating this theme in my posts and wishes lately but the reminder is needed as I forget in times like these, times of insecurity and doubt, times when my core has been shaken.

The Om Mani Padme Hum chant has really touched me and it is a way to invoke compassion in word, in tone, in song.

Here is a link to a beautiful version by Ani Choying:  OM MANI PADME HUM

Here is a link to a site that explains about the meaning of the chant in more detail:  Dharma-Haven.

Much love to you and yours,
Namaste,
Karen

I love the photo and the word Courage prominently displayed ...

may the mantra, may your practice, may this time of self care reconnect you with your courageous, joyous, luminous self. Of course, we all see it - you share it here all the time!

how fun - i just returned to a practice of chanting ... a local group gets together on Fridays and I finally hauled booty and got myself onto the cushion. Exactly what i needed.

MWAH! xo Lis

karen....i needed this. and you knew.
with dealing the the kids dad and this tumor
issue. he has caused much pain in my world.
but i wll say again, being able to separate that
man from this man who is suffering right now
i feel blessed that i have that ability. and not
saying that to boast my feathers. but there have
been moments that i have so struggled with
being compassionate with certain people.
just happy this time i could.

you are a warm light on my face girlie.
thank you for sending me a little something
that my heart and ears needed today.

namaste.
