Tuesday's Tunes: Blackbird

love the beauty in gray skies and blue - love the trees against the gray sky today

 Hi...
Today's song is Blackbird by the Beatles.  I love this version  that Evan Rachael Wood did in "Across the Universe."

Lyrics:

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

My favorite line in the song:  You were only waiting for this moment to be free

I am also so excited to share my contribution to Tracey Clark's "I Am Enough" collaboration.  It is the first time I wrote for someone else and I was so nervous.   I will write more about it later, especially how while writing this piece I struggled with feeling like I was "enough".

Wishing you and yours a wonderful evening.

Namaste,
Karen
